Hi! I'm Miss Johnson. I grew up in Meridian, Idaho (10 minutes out of Boise) on 2.5 acres of land surrounded by big, open fields. My childhood consisted of exploring those fields, 4-wheeling, and riding my bike with my best friends to the nearest grocery store. I have 3 brothers and 2 sisters, and 4 adorable nieces and nephews that are my pride and joy! My parents still live in the same house I was born in, so I love to go home and visit as much as I can.
To this day, I love the outdoors! Hiking, 4-wheeling, camping, boating, and tennis are some of my favorite things to do. I also love music and grew up playing the piano and violin. My whole family sings, as well. Ever since I can remember, I have wanted to be a teacher. When I was a little girl, I'd spend hours on the computer designing worksheets and lesson plans so that I could "play" school with my friends. I had some wonderful teachers growing up who inspired me to choose the profession, aspiring to make a difference in young children's' lives. After graduating from high school, I attended Brigham Young University where I received a degree in elementary education with a TESOL minor (teaching English as a second language). I have had opportunities to work in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 6th grade classrooms while obtaining my degree, though this is my first official year of teaching. I cannot wait to share my passion of learning with the wonderful students in my class. It's going to be a great year! |
